Miller JM, Low LK, Zielinski R, et al. Evaluating maternal recovery from labor and delivery: bone and levator ani injuries. Am J Obstet Gynecol 2015;213:188.e1-11.

The authors’ further analysis of data from the Evaluating Maternal Recovery from Labor and Delivery study after publication uncovered a coding error that had led to the misclassification of some subjects with respect to the severity of levator ani edema. The early coding sheet format resulted in the erroneous assignment of codes 0, 2, 3, 4 rather than 0, 1, 2, 3 for no, mild, moderate, and intense edema. This error affected 17 subjects reported in Table 3 and in related text.
