Fox NS, Gupta S, Melka S, et al. Risk factors for cesarean delivery in twin pregnancies attempting vaginal delivery. Am J Obstet Gynecol 2015;212:106.e1-5.
During copy editing, errors were introduced into the full-length online version of the article above in 3 places. In each case, where the authors had written “age <35” or “age ≥35” as a concise way of stating “age <35 years” or “age ≥35 years,” the words “weeks of gestation” were erroneously inserted.
In the pdf, the first of these errors appeared in the third paragraph, second sentence, of the Methods section (page 106.e2), which should have read: “Baseline characteristics that were examined were advanced maternal age (AMA, age ≥35 years at time of delivery)….”, and the other two in the last sentence of the Results section (page 106.e3), which should have read: “The most favorable group (previous vaginal delivery, age <35 years, spontaneous labor) had a 97.9% likelihood of vaginal delivery, whereas the least favorable group (nulliparous, age ≥35 years, induced labor) had a 48.6% likelihood of vaginal delivery.”
In the article summary in the print edition of the Journal, the first of these sentences was omitted for the shortened version and the second was correct, with “years” inserted after “age <35” and “age ≥35.”
